EXECUTIVE TEAM
Andrew Schmertz, President and CEO
Andrew, co-founder of Hopscotch Air, is an avid aviator, attorney, and veteran of the communications and broadcasting industry. Andrew has led Hopscotch Air since its founding in 2006 and currently oversees all operations. Prior to Hopscotch, Andrew provided broadcast consulting services to major Fortune 500 companies and in the summer of 2008 he and his business partner sold their production company to WNET-TV.

Andrew a graduate of Fordham Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar.

 

Pete Clark, Vice President
Pete, co-founder of Hopscotch Air, has seventeen years of professional flight experience. Pete holds a Commercial Pilot’s License with instrument ratings in single and multi-engine aircraft and helicopters.

Douglas Okin, Vice President
Doug, co-founder of Hopscotch Air, is an Investment Advisor Representative with MetLife.

Doug is the founder and owner of International Outfitters, Inc., an exporter of quality aviation life support equipment and protective garments manufactured to U.S. military specifications.

Doug holds a double major in economics and communications from Hofstra University, Long Island, New York.

 

OPERATIONS

Seth Cooperman, Chief Pilot and Director of Operations
Seth brings twenty five years of aviation industry experience to Hopscotch Air. Seth is type-rated in the Boeing 757, 767 and the DC-10. His commercial aviation experience includes flying for ATA Airlines and Arrow Cargo. Seth has over twelve thousand hours of flight time.

 

Dennis O’Connell, Assistant Director of Operations
Dennis has thirty eight years and 18,000 hours of experience in aviation. He was General Manager of Flight Operations for Trans World Airlines where he also served as a Captain on the B757/767 for domestic and international operations. At TWA, Dennis served as liaison with the FAA’s Air Traffic Control Division.

His private aviation experience includes serving as Director of Safety at PrivatAir at Bridgeport, Ct and as a flight instructor at Flight Safety International.

 

David Dunlop, Director of Maintenance
David, a Cirrus-certified A&P, has more than fifteen years of experience maintaining a wide fleet of aircraft, including Lear's, Hawker's and Challenger's. David has worked for a wide variety of charter operators and also serves as the Director of Maintenance for Empire Airways.
